General

We are located in Robbie’s of Islamorada marina at 77522 Overseas Hwy, Islamorada, FL 33036. You can get to Islamorada by car or shuttle bus from either Miami International Airport or Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. There is plenty of information on the web about how to get here, but if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

We ask that all our guests be present at our office at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. That way we can make sure we have everything and are ready to go so you don’t miss out on a minute of your activity. Please note: if you are visiting us during the holiday season, please allow for more time to find parking.

Yes, there is ample parking nearby, and it’s free to park!

We do not have towels at all, so please do not forget to bring one (and some sunscreen)!

Nope! Our activities are for novices and experts alike. We will provide you with all the resources you need.

There is plenty of storage on the boats, but if you have shopping bags from a day visiting the many wonderful vendors within Robbie’s, we have room in the office for your treasures.

Islamorada Snorkeling

Islamorada is home to the healthiest reefs of the Keys, and we visit about 14 of them on our snorkeling trips (we’ll choose a couple of spots on each outing). Our reefs are about 4-15 ft deep, and best of all, they aren’t crowded!

The water is always fine in paradise! During the colder months (typically November through February), the water can get down to about 60-70°F, so sometimes guests want to use wetsuits. We have these available for rent so that you are as comfortable as possible snorkeling.

Islamorada Sunset Cruise

Don’t worry, we get it! That’s why we take care of it all — so you get to just sit back, relax, and sip on a cocktail or two.

Absolutely! We are all about enjoying experiences together, so we welcome guests of all ages aboard for this cruise.

We sure hope not! This cruise is for pure relaxation, so just relax with your favorite cocktail and enjoy the views.

The trip includes a champagne toast at sunset. Bottled water and soda available for purchase for $2. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase as well on board by cash or credit card.

We do not serve food, but you are welcome to bring your own snacks aboard!

Islamorada Parasailing Experience

Parasailing is an activity that absolutely everyone can try out safely. At Sundance Watersports, we liken it to a hot air balloon ride, not being on a rollercoaster.

As with any activity on the water, there are always some assumed risks. However, based on data from the Water Sports Industry Association, you are four times more likely to be struck by lightning than be injured in a parasailing accident in the United States. We have a 100% safety record!

We’re very happy to say we have the longest flight in the Keys! You’ll be in the air for 12 to 15 minutes, which is double the time that most parasailing companies will give you.

We, like all Florida parasailing operations, are limited to 800 ft of towline, which theoretically limits the flight to 400 ft. We’ll pull you to the “top” for a few moments, but most of your flight will be between 125-300 ft. That way, you have the best views of the area as well as the dolphins and sea turtles swimming below.

Only if you close your eyes.

Although we love to fly by the lighthouse, we also love our passengers. So flights over the lighthouse will remain an urban legend.

You can wear anything you like. We have flown guests in tuxedos, wedding dresses, and a whole lot less. Do keep in mind that there is always a chance that you will get wet, so if you don’t want it to get wet, don’t wear it! After all, we are called Sundance Watersports.

That part is mostly up to you. A fun part of the flight is the dip in the ocean, but it is definitely optional. For those worried about a soggy ride in the rental car, may we recommend just dipping your toes?

The total actual trip length depends on the number of fliers, but plan on an hour dock to dock.

Our parasail boat, Aw Chute, is Coast Guard-certified to carry 12 passengers. That includes both fliers and riders, but not our captain and crew.

No, the corny jokes are free! Occasionally, the captain tells a good joke, and those come with a small fee. Actually, that’s admittedly never happened… all of his jokes are corny.
